2. What we process and why
Visiting this website
Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical request information such as your IP address, requested page, time, browser information, and response or security information. This supports delivery, troubleshooting, and protection against misuse. Our legal basis is legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure business website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address, the details you choose to share, and the correspondence. We use this to answer your enquiry, discuss a demo, or provide a quote. For business contacts, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to relevant enquiries. Where you personally request steps towards a contract, Article 6(1)(b) applies instead. We do not add you to a marketing mailing list just because you contact us.
You choose whether to contact us; we need enough contact information to reply. Please do not send employee records, absence reasons, health information, or other sensitive personal data in an initial enquiry.
Trying the product preview
The names and qualifications in the Skills Matrix are fictional. Area filters, searches, and pagination run in your browser. Those interactions are not sent to a Verken application server or saved by our page code. Reloading the page resets the preview.
3. Who receives the information?
Access is limited to people handling the relevant enquiry or operating the website, and providers needed for those activities. Vercel hosts and protects this site. An email you send is handled by the email services used by you and us. We do not sell visitor or enquiry data.
Vercel also processes certain service-generated information for its own purposes as described in its privacy notice. Its data processing addendum describes processing on customers’ behalf. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary for a legal claim.
4. International processing
Vercel uses a global infrastructure, so technical data may be processed outside Finland and the European Economic Area. Its processing terms provide for applicable transfer safeguards, including European Commission standard contractual clauses where required. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data. We do not claim that this marketing website’s data stays exclusively in the EU.
5. How long information is kept
Enquiry information is kept while needed to answer you and complete any follow-up you request. Once that purpose ends, retention is limited to information needed for an ongoing business relationship, a specific legal claim, or a statutory obligation. Relevant records may therefore be kept longer than the initial conversation; unnecessary copies should not be kept.
Technical records follow the hosting provider’s service-specific security and retention arrangements, rather than a separate visitor database maintained by this website. We do not copy website traffic logs into an additional marketing database. The applicable criteria include diagnosing service problems, preventing abuse, resolving incidents, and meeting legal obligations. Vercel’s own service-data retention is explained in its privacy notice.
6. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability applies where the legal conditions are met. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Use the company contact details above to make a request. We may ask for information proportionate to verifying your identity. We respond without undue delay, normally within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we explain why within that month.
You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including Finland’s Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. We do not use this website to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
